The upstairs king bedroom

Tucked away up its own private staircase, the upstairs king bedroom is the quietest room in the house. It has a king-size bed, a bright en-suite shower room and a window over the garden, making it a favourite with couples and grandparents.

A room of your own

Because this bedroom is reached by its own staircase rather than the main landing, it feels like a private apartment within the cottage. The king-size bed sits beneath a sloping ceiling with a wooden headboard, bedside lamps and a huge carved oak mirror that echoes the organic shapes found throughout Hunter's Moon. Mustard and ochre soft furnishings give the room a warm, sunny feel.

There is plenty of storage, a hair dryer, and the same luxury sprung and memory-foam mattress and choice of duvets as the other bedrooms. Two pillows, three towels and Elemis toiletries are provided for each guest.

En-suite shower room

The en-suite has a large walk-in shower with a rainfall head, a wash basin set on a floating oak shelf, a heated towel rail and a window for natural light. Shower gel, shampoo and hand wash are all supplied.

Who is it good for?

Couples who like a bit of separation from the rest of the party, grandparents on a family holiday, or anyone who wants a peaceful night's sleep. Being upstairs, it is not suitable for guests who cannot manage stairs; for them, the downstairs king bedroom is ideal. If your group needs extra sleeping space, two luxury Z-beds are available to take the house from eight to ten guests; ask us when booking.
