Dogs are welcome at Hunter's Moon
Hunter's Moon is a dog-friendly holiday cottage. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome (more by arrangement), and with an acre of garden, a stream to splash in and bridleways from the gate, your dog will have as good a holiday as you do.

A dog's holiday
The garden is large, private and mostly enclosed, with lawns to race around and a stream at the bottom for paddling (it is shallow, but do keep an eye on small dogs). Bradley Way, the lane outside the gate, is a quiet no-through road for heavy vehicles that leads to field paths and bridleways across Pennard Hill, so the first walk of the day needs no car at all. Longer walks on the Somerset Levels, the Mendips and the Avalon Marshes are described on our walks page.
Dog-friendly pubs are easy to find. The Lion at Pennard, two miles away, welcomes dogs in the bar, and most of the pubs on our pubs page do too. Glastonbury High Street is relaxed about dogs in its cafes and many of its shops.
The boot-room entrance next to the downstairs bedroom has space for muddy paws, leads and towels, and we provide dog waste bins in the garden.

Our dog policy
So that the house stays as beautiful for the next guests as it was for you, we ask that dog owners follow a few simple rules:
- A maximum of two dogs per booking. Additional dogs may be added with the prior consent of the owners.
- Dogs are welcome in the large hallway, kitchen and spacious dining area, where there is plenty of room for beds and bowls.
- Dogs are not permitted upstairs, in the downstairs bedroom, in any carpeted areas or in the cinema pod, whose seat coverings, carpets and audio-visual equipment are expensive to repair.
- Please keep dogs off the furniture and beds.
- Please clean up after your dog in the garden using the bins provided.
- Dogs should not be left unattended in the house for any prolonged length of time.
- Owners are responsible for the cost of any damage or excessive cleaning.
Please tell us how many dogs you are bringing when you book. The full wording is in our booking terms and conditions.
