Private chef and fine dining
An in-house chef can cook a celebration dinner in the kitchen and serve it at the table, from a relaxed Somerset supper to a multi-course tasting menu. Fine-dining deliveries are also available for a lower-key evening.
Hampers and drinks
Beyond the standard welcome hamper we can arrange breakfast hampers, afternoon teas, cheese boards, local ciders and wines, and champagne on ice for your arrival.
Cocktail making
A mixologist comes to the house to run a cocktail-making session in the pod, a favourite for hen parties and big birthdays.
Wellness and retreats
Yoga, meditation, massage and holistic treatments can be booked to come to you. Several small retreat organisers return to Hunter's Moon year after year.
Celebration styling
Balloons, flowers, table decoration and birthday cakes from local makers, set up before you arrive so the surprise is complete.
Activities
Hot-air ballooning from Castle Cary, cider-farm tours, guided walks up the Tor and bike hire can all be booked; see outdoor activities.

Christmas and New Year
Hunter's Moon is a wonderful house for Christmas. The fire is lit in the 1580 hearth, the pod ceiling twinkles above the Christmas films, and the hot tub is at its best on a frosty night. A tree, decorations and a festive hamper can be arranged. New Year sees the pod become the party room, with fireworks over the Somerset Levels visible from the balcony. How to arrange it
Tell us what you are celebrating when you book, or contact us at any time before your stay. We will check availability with the relevant providers (some are booked up months in advance), provisionally reserve on your behalf or pass on their details for you to liaise directly. You are also welcome to arrange activities privately at the house within reason; we simply ask that you tell us in advance and provide a copy of the provider's public liability insurance and, where relevant, food hygiene certificate.
Group bookings
We welcome families and groups of friends. We are unable to accept bookings where all party members are under 25, or single-sex parties of more than four, without prior consent; please contact us to discuss your group and we will do our best to help. Occupancy must not exceed ten guests plus two infants under two. Full details are in the booking terms.
